Uttar Pradesh health minister Jai Pratap Singh, who had were in the same a party with Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor days before she tested positive for coronavirus tested negative for COVID-19 on Saturday, King George Medical University said here.
After the test in Lucknow on Friday, the 66-year-old the minister went into social distancing soon after Kapoor revealed that she had tested positive for coronavirus.
KGMU spokesperson Dr. Sudhir Singh said.”Uttar Pradesh Health Minister Jai Pratap Singh has tested negative for COVID-19.”
the spokesperson further added “Samples of 28 people who came in contact with him have also tested negative”.
Singh was in Greater Noida on Thursday to hold a press conference to speak about the achievements of the BJP-led state government over the last three years.
Three MLAs— Pankaj Singh, Dhirendra Singh and Tejpal Nagar, some officers of the bureaucracy and some journalists present at the press conference also went into self-isolation.
