The Heinous Act Of UP Police In Hathras Case

The nation is mourning the death of democracy yet again after witnessing the cruelty of the Uttar Pradesh government and UP Police. We woke up to the shocking update on the Hathras Gang Rape case. For the unaware, a 19-year-old Dalit woman was gang-raped by four men on September 14 in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras village. She was first taken to a hospital in Aligarh and was then shifted to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi after her condition deteriorated.

After struggling between life and death in hospitals, she passed away. The UP Police claimed that the deceased was not a victim of sexual assault. They then forcibly cremated the victim’s body late at night.

The UP police cremated the body of the rape victim of Hathras at 2:30 in the night without the permission of the family. The family claims that the woman’s body was taken away by the police in the middle of the night for final rites.

Several pictures from this shameful act are going viral. The Police present at the site refused to answer and said, “Mai 3rd scale ka police officer hu. Mujhe bolne ka adhikar nhi ha Hindustan me.”

This isn’t the death of a rape victim. It’s the death of democracy. It’s the death of justice. And the death of humanity. Brutal gang rape of a woman- A Dalit Woman, by 4 men of the privileged class, no arrests and a forceful cremation of the victim’s body against the will of the family- if this doesn’t boil the nation’s blood, what else will?
