Tejas Thackeray to venture into Politics? Uddhav Thackeray answers

Tejas Thackeray’s presence at the Shiv Sena Election rally sparks rumors of him joining Politics.

The Thackeray clan is ruling the world of Politics since Balasaheb Thackeray formed Shiv Sena. The legacy of this supremo is continued by his son Uddhav Thackeray and now Uddhav’s son Aaditya Thackeray is all set to contest the Assembly Elections of 2019.

With this Aaditya becomes the first member of the Thackeray clan to contest any Elections. Recently, the election rally of Shiv Sena took place at Sangamner in Ahmednagar district. While the Sena chief addressed the people along with Aaditya, another Thackeray- Uddhav’s second son Tejas Thackeray was calmly seated on the stage watching his father and brother.

Tejas’ presence at the election rally has sparked off many rumors of him joining politics after Aaditya. But Uddhav has clarified about the same and said “Tejas has only come to watch the rally. He is more at home in the forest.”

Tejas was in the news after a new species of snakes, discovered in the Western Ghats, was named Boiga Thackeray (Thackeray’s cat snake) after him, for his contribution to the find.

In 2016, Tejas discovered three new species of freshwater crabs, endemic to the Western Ghats. The find involved many field trips across coastal Konkan, Satara, Kolhapur, and Ahmednagar districts.
