    Mumbai: Fire breaks out in highrise at Andheri West

    A fire broke out at Peninsula Park on the sixth floor of a 22-storied commercial building opposite Yash Raj Films studio, in Mumbai's Andheri on Monday afternoon.

    A fire broke out at the 7th floor at the Peninsula Park building located off the Veera Desai Road in Mumbai‘s Andheri West on Monday. The fire reportedly broke out at the 22-storey commercial building which is opposite the famous Yash Raj Films studio. While several people are still feared trapped in the building due to fire, a number of people were reported to be were rescued from the 11th floor by the officials. The rescue operation is underway with 4 fire tenders, Quick Attack Response Vehicle, and a number of ambulances present at the spot. The fire is reportedly confined to the 6th floor of the building.

    According to reports, the fire was reported at 12:50pm and was initially classified at Level II. The fire was confined to the sixth floor of the 22-storied building as of last updating this report.
