The war between one of the most famous YouTube sensations; PewDiePie and the Indian giant music label, T-series, has been going on for quite some time now! The battle further gained momentum after T-series snatched the 1st spot form PewDiePie to become the most subscribed channel of YouTube.
And now; the Delhi High Court has ordered that two posts by the Swedish you tuber; namely ‘Congratulations’ and ‘Bitch Lasagna’, be pulled down, because T-series has alleged that these tracks contained derogatory remarks against India!
As noted by Bar&Bench,” The Delhi High Court has directed YouTube to remove two songs published by Swedish YouTuber PewDiePie from its platform. The interim order was granted by a Single Judge Bench of Justice Jayant Nath in a suit preferred by T-Series owner Super Cassettes Pvt. Ltd., seeking to permanently restrain Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg, better known as PewDiePie, from uploading the songs titled ‘T-Series Diss Track/Bitch Lasagna’ and ‘Congratulations’.”
Justice Nath stated that,” In my opinion, it would be in the interest of justice that these videos are taken off by YouTube.”
However; though the YouTuber initially gave the first expected white person reaction, he later apologized to the music label saying “it was all in good fun” and he also assured that he had no plans of making any such videos!
For those living under the rock; PewDiePie’s first spot on Youtube was threatened after T-series began inching close to his subscriber count. However; early this year T-series finally surpassed the Swedish YouTuber to claim the first spot.
Currently both the channels have a subscriber count of almost 95 million subscribers!
