Coronavirus Pandemic: PM Narendra Modi Lauds The Efforts Of The Medical Professionals

Doctors around the world are asking people to help them fight the pandemic by staying at home during the Coronavirus outbreak.

The world is facing a coronavirus outbreak. In India, the number of cases is rising each passing day. Bollywood celebrities are encouraging fans to practice social distancing in their battle to curb the spread of Covid-19. In the midst of the outbreak, many stars such as Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shahid Kapoor, and Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan have resorted to self-isolation.

In India, a doctor from the New Delhi AIIMS hospital was been captured holding up a signboard. The message on the signboard read, “I stayed at work for you. You can stay at home for us.”

The photo was then shared by India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. Lauding the efforts of the doctor he said, “Well said, Doctor! Also a shout-out to all those working to make our planet safer and healthier. No words will ever do justice to their exceptional efforts. #IndiaFightsCorona.”

Many Bollywood actors also shared various images and asked people to stay indoors amidst the novel coronavirus outbreak. Amongst the many celebs was Munna Bhai MBBS fame actor Arshad Warsi, he shared a picture of doctors who urged people to stay at home to avoid the further spread of the infectious disease.

He tweeted the picture by writing, “Can’t get simpler than that. Please take their advice (sic).”

The Government of India is taking all necessary measures to combat the spread of COVID- 19 (Novel Coronavirus). People are being urged to stay at home if there isn’t any necessary situation to go outdoors. All the shooting of Bollywood and TV serials have also been halted looking at the risk of infectious disease.

India is currently in phase 2 in the number of people being tested positive for the novel coronavirus and many think that these two weeks will be crucial because if the situation escalates to phase 3 then it will be tough to bring everything under control.
