In wake of the pandemic, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on Tuesday stretched out till 31 December the unwinding in telecommute (WFH) standards for other specialist co-ops (OSPs), including the IT division. Speck had first declared unwinding in WFH rules in April, when India was under an exacting lockdown to contain the spread of COVID-19, and later broadened the date till 31 July.

Industry pioneers praised the DoT's choice that will empower IT organizations to permit their representatives to telecommute till the finish of 2020.
