Coronavirus Update: Total Cases In India Rise To 62

The number of positive cases of coronavirus has gone up to 62 as 14 more people have been tested positive in Kerala, Karnataka and Maharashtra.

The total number of cases of coronavirus has gone up to 62. Fourteen more people have tested positive for COVID-19: eight in Kerala and three each in Karnataka and Maharashtra, State authorities said on March 10.

3 positive cases that were earlier reported in Kerala have been discharged successfully after the treatment. India has temporarily suspended all the visas and e-visas granted on or before March 11 to nationals of 3 more coronavirus-affected countries — France, Germany and Spain.

Moreover, a situation of panic has been created in Chennai as some landlords who have leased out their houses and apartments to Korean nationals in the city are asking them to vacate, fearing the spread of the virus through their tenants. There are around 4,000 South Korean nationals living in Chennai.

Meanwhile in Italy, the confirmed cases have jump to over 8,500 people with the death toll at 631. Hundreds of Telugu students from Arunachal Pradesh and Telangana are stranded in Italy as the country went into lockdown to tackle the sudden surge in Covid-19 cases.
