He also told the chat show host about the facts that how sometimes he has curatorial help in handy too which is his daughters Sasha and Malia.

Although we agree to this totally that the recent playlist for his memoir book titled A Promised Land, was completely Barack’s picks without any help. But it seems like Barack’s often gives the aux cord to his daughters Sasha and Malia when it always comes to his end of the year playlists and certainly in music curation department they both do help him too throughout the entire year.

The caption for this picture read, “Music has always played an important role throughout my life—and that was especially true during my presidency. While reviewing my notes ahead of debates, I’d listen to Jay-Z’s “My 1st Song” or Frank Sinatra’s “Luck Be a Lady”. Throughout our time in the White House, Michelle and I invited artists like Stevie Wonder and Gloria Estefan to conduct afternoon workshops with young people before performing an evening show in the East Room. And there were all sorts of performances I’ll always remember—like Beyoncé performing “At Last” for our first dance at our inauguration, Paul McCartney serenading Michelle in the East Room with, “Michelle” and Bob Dylan flashing me a grin before vanishing after his performance of “Times They Are a-Changin”. So in honor of my book coming out tomorrow, I thought I’d put together a playlist with some of those songs. Hope you enjoy it. #APromisedLand”.

Explaining about his end of the year playlists during the ongoing interview, Barack says, “My year-end playlist, those are the fresh cuts, And there, I will confess that I do consult with Malia and Sasha throughout the year”.

Applauding both his daughters Sasha and Malia’s vibrant take on music, he further also asserted, “I’m constantly listening to their music. Sometimes by request and sometimes, just because that’s what’s blaring in the house”.

Further, he also told about how Sasha and Malia aren’t that much willing and in agreement to share all their music related hot tips and songs of the current season with their dad and he also spoke about how Sasha keeps a private sound cloud with all her favorite songs in that playlist which she doesn’t share with anyone.

Elucidating on the same, he quipped, “Sasha’s more protective of her music. There’s certain things on SoundCloud — She has, like, a private playlist. She won’t share all of it with me because she’s not sure I’m hip enough to handle it”.

When towards the end of the interview, he was questioned that is he hip or cool enough to handle it, on this Barack signed off by saying, “Nah, man, I’m keepin’ up, for an old guy”.
