Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon are coming together to share the screen for the first time. The three leading ladies of B’town will be setting the screen on fire in Rhea Kapoor’s next venture. Veere Di Wedding producer duo Ekta Kapoor and Rhea have locked their dream cast for The Crew.
The Crew is touted to be a comic caper. Kareena Kapoor Khan had long back announced her reunion with her Veere Di Wedding producer but other casts of the untitled project were under wraps. The project is now titled The Crew and the Laal Singh Chaddha actress will be joined by Mimi and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 stars.
The cocktail of drama and comedy will be directed by Rajesh Krishnan and will be produced by Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor. Rhea announced the project by sharing a video and a picture of the trio’s Vouge magazine photoshoot. The caption read, “After three years of dreaming, writing, planning I present to you with @ektarkapoor on the November Cover of @vogueindia our ‘dream cast’ which is now a reality. ‘The Crew’ starring @tabutiful @kareenakapoorkhan and @kritisanon starts shoot February 2023. Directed by @rajoosworld and written by @nidsmehra and Mehul Suri.”
Miss Poo too shared the picture on her Instagram with the caption, “Pov: There is a new crew in town” adding a lit fire emoji and a black heart. The picture displayed Kareena, Kriti And Tabu slaying in black outfits.
According to Bollywood Hungama reports, “’The Crew’ will be an absolute laugh-riot, set against the backdrop of the struggling airline industry. Three women, work and hustle to make it in life. However, their destinies lead to some unwarranted situations and they get caught in a web of lies. The Crew is the rib-tickling ride of comedy of errors and mishaps! Life comes at you with its set of challenges, are you up for it?”
The Crew is all set to go on floors next year from February 2023. It will be directed by Rajesh Krishnan and co-produced by Balaji Motion Pictures Limited & Anil Kapoor Productions.
