Vasan Bala’s directorial Jigra originally saw a lower occupancy on the first day of its release. The film might have not opened with good numbers. But actors from the South industry tend to love this film a little too much. Telugu film industry’s superstars like Mahesh Babu, Rashmika Mandanna, Rana Daggubati and many more lauded Alia Bhatt for her impactful performance in Jigra. The poignant tale of a brother and sister and the thrill created was although not hailed by the audience this time, but the south industry seems to be all-hearts for the same.
Mahesh Babu took to his instagram praising the lead actors of the film. He wrote, “Looks like a blockbuster already! All the best to @aliaa08 and the entire team for the release today!”

Rashmika Mandanna who is now a famous name in the Hindi cinemas, and garnered much attention on her performance in Animal, also hailed the Jigra lady. For Alia Bhatt she writes, “You are an absolute blessing for us all! Thank you for letting us witness your talent and your craft.” Besides, she also said that she wishes to see more of such performances by Vedang Raina in the future. Shocked to see her close friend, and filmmaker Rahul Ravindran in the film Rashmika also praised him saying, “Rahulaaaa… you have absolutely surprised me… the Rahulaaaa I know to Muthu in ‘Jigra’ is oh so surprising in a good way.”
Industry superstar Rana Daggubati also hailed the actress for her fierce character of a strong sister in the film and promoted the telugu and hindi version of the film on his social media.
