Robert Pattinson’s The Batman 2 Gets Release Date

The sequel is going to be a part of DC's Elseworlds.

The Batman 2 gets a release date: The release date for Matt Reeves’ sequel to The Batman, now titled The Batman – Part II has been announced. The noir crime thriller, which features Robert Pattinson in the role of a cape crusader, will open in theatres on Oct. 3, 2025.

The sequel is going to be a part of DC’s Elseworlds, which also includes projects such as Todd Phillips’ “Joker: Folie à Deux” with Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga (set for release Oct. 4, 2024), the ongoing animated series “Teen Titans Go!,” and J.J. Abrahams new Superman movie. 

In a new video, DC Studio’s Co-SEO James Gunn revealed that the above mentioned projects will not be part of mainstream DCEU projects such as The Flash, Shazam: Fury Of Gods, and Aquaman 2. 

Pattinson and Reeves will continue to explore their iteration of Batman in the “DC Elseworlds”, while Gunn and Safran will cast a new Batman in the DC Universe.

Meanwhile, Pattinson’s The Batman opened to critical acclaim and ended up becoming a box office success by earning over 700 million dollars worldwide last year. 

The next DC releases are Shazam: Fury of the Gods which will arrive in cinemas on March 17, with The Flash following on June 16.
