With the re-release idea of 2018 love-story “Laila Majnu”, big opportunities seem coming for actor Avinash Tiwary. Throwback to the old days when the film was on its original run, it had earned a mere 1.5 crores as its opening collection. While on the other end, when the Imtiaz Ali film re-released on August 9th it gained huge recognition from fans nationwide.

Laila Majnu Crosses Its Own Original Records
The re-run of the film screened on 75 screens, and within 4 days of the run, Laila Majnu crossed its own original records. With a massive earning of 30 lakhs on the first day, the weekend’s overall collection was estimated to be around 2 crores. The Avinash Tiwary- Triptii Dimri story was six years ago, not loved by many, and was rather taken down from the screens.
While considering his own debut flop, the doors of Bollywood never really opened for Avinash Tiwary. Triptii Dimri aka Laila did manage to attract the right attention and much public appreciation with her next movie Animal. The Ranbir Kapoor starrer not only became a super blockbuster hit but also opened huge doors for Dimri making her the national crush of Bollywood.

Laila Majnu Re-release To Give A Break To Actor Avinash Tiwary
While Avinash Tiwary- the male lead never received much momentum from the audience. No wonder, his intense performance was never recognized by the fans but has now made him a superstar after 6 years among the audience. Qais Bhat, is now the heartthrob for every girl. Avinash while reminiscing of his old days in the press-conference spoke about how his posters were being pulled down when he had first gone to watch the movie just three days after the release.
Avinash, was never the centre of stage for any movie after Laila- Majnu. However, as directors see a good name brewing up in the youth’s mind – it is surely going to be a good chance for Avinash Tiwary as after a wait of six years, it seems that the actor is to get a break. Let’s see what new projects come to his portion of the plate and how well he justifies the act.
