The comedian Kapil Sharma is busy promoting his upcoming film Zwigato, which is set to be released on March 17, 2023. During the promotion Sharma has gained attention for his admissions and sharing of his shocking experiences from his career’s lowest point. In a recent interview, the actor, who is presently promoting his next film, Zwigato, recalled the time he had drunkenly tweeted PM Narendra Modi and how his wife takes away his phone at night to prevent him from making the same mistake.
The Kapil Sharma host discussed how his wife prevents him from making the same mistakes he did in the past during his interview on Aap Ki Adalat. He also explained why he quit constantly updating his social media accounts with everything. He talked about Ginni and how intelligent she is. When he starts drinking at night, at 11:30 p.m., she takes away his phone. “Usko pata hai phir kuch panga kar dega,” he said.
For the uninitiated, 2016–17 was one of Kapil’s most difficult years. He was not only dealing with anxiety and sadness, but he also turned to alcohol to help him relax. I am paying Rs 15 crore in income tax from the last five years and still I have to pay a $5 lakh bribe to the BMC office for making my office @narendramodi, he had tweeted in his inebriated state, addressing the PM.
The talented comedian shared that since the birth of his children, son Trishaan and daughter Anayra, he has started to think carefully about what he posts online. He says, “Today I do not post on social media..haan pehle aise kar deta tha,” by Bollywood Shaadis ghusne ki aadat thi pehle merko har baat mein. I used to provide my opinion on everything. Without anyone’s request, I voiced my ideas. Sometimes, you can create difficulties for yourself. Yet, after having two children, I have undergone a lot of change. You get a sense of responsibility. Vo sochenge humara baap aisa hai? After a few years, my kids will start reading what’s on Twitter.
On the work front, Kapil is all set to return to the big screen with his much-awaited film Zwigato. He is actively handling his Comedy Sharma Show, too.
