Renowned Indian playback singer Sonu Nigam, is a known name in the film industry. Widely known for his charming personality, soft-spoken attitude, and golden voice – Sonu Nigam was very young when he started with his singing career. At the age of four, Nigam performed on stage for the first time, presenting the song ‘Kya Hua Tera Wada’. Right from then, Sonu has only seen success with his immense hardwork in the industry. Back in the year 1995, Sonu Nigam came forward as a host of one of the leading singing reality tv shows – Sa Re Ga Ma. The singer ruled the show as a host for five long years, and garnered wide attention from the same. However, it came out as a shock when the Indian playback singer after five years of hosting the show decided to quit the show. The Indian reality show was right at its peak, bringing in a lot of popularity in Sonu Nigam’s plate. Despite all of this, the singer made a stubborn decision to leave the show.

Sonu Nigam REVEALS Why He Left Sa Re Ga Ma Show
In a flashback interview with Lehren, Sonu Nigam once opened up with the shocking reason about why he left the singing despite seeing immense growth in his fame. Sonu revealed that after giving in 5 long years to the show, he felt that he is falling short of words. Having spent such a long time in the same show, Sonu felt that he was losing out on his grammar and vocabulary to describe or praise the people over there. “Mujhe laga ki ek hi cheez baar baar karne se, vocabulary khatam ho jati hai. Kaise mai Har Hafte Ek Hi Cheez Repeat Karu, usi tarike se logo ka bakhaan karu”, he added further.
Though Sonu Nigam accepted that the show was providing him ample fame, and after the exit he will have to make efforts to be known in the public’s vision, but he had a strong feeling that the time was right to make an exit from the show. Jokingly he also added further that, “Before people kick me out, I chose to leave the show myself”, highlighting the monotony of the same.
Further in the flashback interview, Sonu Nigam can be seen reflecting on his career move post leaving the reality tv show and what were his thoughts on putting his feet ahead as a film actor.
