Iron Man For Me Is What Sholay Was For Ramesh Sippy: Rajesh Khattar On His 25 Yr Dubbing Career

Prolific film actor, screenwriter and voice artist Rajesh Khattar has been broadly known for his exceptionally well dubbing skills. He has completed approximately 25 years in his dubbing career. Recently, his voiceover as SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat of Pushpa 2 left an incredible mark on the fans. Largely elated by the powerful voice, the box office earnings were hugely impacted, grossing the film to surpass the 1000 crores record in domestic collections. The voice behind Fahadh Faasil in Pushpa 2, and many other actors recently interacted with Lehren Retro, where he talked about the need of the hour to get voice artists the due they deserve.

In an exclusive interview, Rajesh Khattar elaborates upon his 25 year glorious dubbing career. He told there was no awareness among the public in the early days of filming. However, since the past 10 years people realised in turn highlighting some of his famous dubbing work including Fahadh Faasil’s Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat character from Pushpa 2, Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man (Tony Stark) & Berlin’s role in Money Heist.

The versatile artist praises dynamic director Ram Gopal Varma for giving him credits for the 1st time, when the latter dubbed for Kichcha Sudeep in the Phoonk (film franchise). Khattar also presents his fair take on the remuneration scale of dubbing artists & shares his visionary thoughts relating to the usage of artificial intelligence in dubbing.
