One of the golden actress from the 90s – Sonali Bendre quickly gained recognition in the industry with not much hardships and struggles. The beautiful glamor that she held was a testament to her succeeding career in films. Despite being unaware of where life will take her, Sonali Bendre after three films became a notable face in the film industry. Her performance in Aag, Taraazu and Hum Saath Saath Hain have set an example for many females who grew up and came forward in the industry watching her. But, prior the smile of this success, Sonali had a frown of disappointment when people in her surrounding bullied her for her appearance. In an exclusive interview with Lehren, Sonali Bendre recalls of the time of how her classmates during school and colleges urged her to gain weight and laughed on her skinny self.

When Sonali Bendre Was Called OUT For Her HEIGHT
In the interview, when Sonali Bendre was asked about the complements she gets for her beauty, she exclaimed that people are flooding positive comments now but there was a time when the same people pulled her leg for being thin-skinned. Adding further Sonali stated, “There was a time when I was so thin that I used to be called a lampost, a giraffe because I have a long neck which is an asset now.” Highlighting her neckline, she said that the same long neck is now being appreicated by many but in her old college days, people around her used to mock her out on the same. However, the star said she never gave up and always took the remarks sportingly because of the familial support.
Sonali added further that her mom used to stuff her brain with wise words whenever she used to go back from school carrying dejection. The actress gained enough traction because of her photogenic face, absolute killing dance abillities and striking figure.
In the interview ahead, Sonali Bendre also talks about her career’s beginning and how she would have chosen law if not the current field. When being questioned about how she feels on not sharing the same fame bracket as Karisma Kapoor, Mamta and Raveena Tandon, despite doing well in the film, the actress replied that it is not a big deal for her. At present, Sonali Bendre is making headlines because of her recent revelation where she mentioned that the renowned designer Rohit Bal, who passed away a few days back worked as a co-actor with her. However, their film could not release on the theatres but it definitely created a beautiful bond between Sonali and him.
