Not a single person is unversed of the late composer Aadesh Shrivastava ‘s musical history. His soulful melodies striked the right chords of our hearts every time he came up with a new song in Bollywood. After his painful demise, the entire industry was in a grieving state. Leaving behind his sons Avitesh Shrivastava and Anivesh Shrivastava as the pillars of wife Vijayta Pandit, Aadesh left his muscial legacy in the hands of the two of them.
However, not everyone knows about Aadesh Shrivastava ‘s son and American singer Akon’s beautiful friendship. In a recent interview with Lehren Retro, Vijayta Pandit revealed the iconic friendship shared by her elder son Avitesh and singer Akon. Drawing attention to Anant Ambani’s grand wedding ceremony, when the intenational singer was invited to attend, Vijayta Pandit claims that Akon called her son Avitesh before he landed to India. Akon said that he was coming to Mumbai, only to meet Avitesh. As Vijayta quotes, ‘Akon told my son, I am just coming to do some music work with you. So come and pick me up at the airport’.

Adding further Vijayta said that as soon as the call dropped, her son Avitesh ran to make arrangements and picked Akon from the airport. He brought Akon to their AVi studio and the duo sang songs for the entire night. While the singer had his flight for America on the next morning, he continued to sing with Avitesh and thereafter, recorded around 3 songs which were written by the two of them.
Vijyata also recalled about the time when Avitesh performed alongside famous international music artists like T-Pain and Fench Montanna. She feels his son has still not been provided with the right opportunities in the industry and waits for him to be blessed with the best.
