Helstrom is a comic book adaptation into a digital OTT webseries, which will air on renowned VOD streaming platform Hulu. The main plot of the series would be majorly revolving around two marvel characters namely Daimon Helstrom and Anna Helstrom in a separate standalone story that is within the MCU.

This webseries is based on the Marvel comic book series Hellstrom, in which Satan is not satisfied with the power he has for he wants to have more control and power on the earth and its people for which he takes a human form where his character name is Marduk Kurios and ends up getting married to a mortal human named Victoria. Later he also has children (Daimon and Satana).

Originally in the Hellstrom comic, Satana is taken by her father, Satan to hell when Victoria finally comes to know about the real and true identity of her husband, while Daimon grows up in an orphanage.

The series has a little unique and different take on the comic book adaptation where the official synopsis of the series explains:

Daimon and Ana Helstrom are the son and daughter of a mysterious and powerful serial killer in Marvel’s Helstrom. The siblings have a complicated dynamic as they track down the terrorizing worst of humanity — each with their attitude and skills.

Helstrom will be premiered and released at Hulu on 16th October 2020 as part of their exciting and spooky Huluween event. The series stars Tom Austin as Daimon, Sydney Lemmon as Ana and Elizabeth Marvel as Victoria.

If anyone wants to see the usual superhero stuff by Marvel then they will be disappointed here but for horror genre lovers it is welcoming happy news as Helstrom is a dark horror genre series with plenty of satirical humour and lots of supernatural touches but also mocking in their own twisted way at the supernatural stuff where we would see how there’s going to be lots of sarcasm filled with ironical puns intended along with a strong dose of world weariness.

In other words, Helstrom is like saving the best for the last where from the surface in the teaser we saw only a tiny scoop of satirical sarcastic fun horror but when the entire series will be premiering on 16th October 2020 that time we will be seeing the brilliantly created horror masterpiece that is a right mix and perfect balance of horror, family drama, brother sister bonding, love saga of satan and human mortal, satire, sarcasm, humour, comedy filled punches, amazing storyline, and so on. It is like we’ve seen the tip of the ice berg and are wanting to see how much intriguing and deeply crafted is it.

The show is truly one of its kind, since it’s not totally in the horror and gory space but is also beautifully trying to portray and pan out the story of mysterious mythology while also creating an edgy layered family tree which would form basis for their complicated dysfunctional family saga in the series where we would be seeing how the sister has an upper edge over her brother and has oodles of sarcasm when compared to him along with the fact that Ana (sister) could carry the entire series pretty well on her own for she has got a much intense and meatier role to play here. Where finally we can say that Helstrom will be a fun filled Marvel horror series which will not bore the audiences for it will be very interesting to watch how this entirely dysfunctional family will be in a war with hell itself even though the aesthetics and background setting might seem to be gloomy but it makes up for it with its storyline and plot.
