Actress Hansika Motwani and her longtime partner Sohael Khaturiya tied the knot at the Mundota Fort and Palace in Jaipur last year. There were only close family members and close friends present at their lavish wedding. It’s interesting that Hansika launched her reality program, “Hansika’s Love Shaadi Drama,” which is running on the OTT platform and is based on her wedding to Sohael. In one episode, Hansika’s mother, Mona, was seen demanding Rs 5 lakh each minute from the groom’s family.
And the reason behind it will definitely stun you. It so happened that the groom’s family came a bit late at the wedding, so upset Mona Hansika’s mother asked for a hefty price. She said, “I have a humble request to make. Kathuriyas are people who are very late, and Motwanis are very punctual. If you come late today, you must pay me Rs 5 lakh for every minute of delay. I make this request because the inauspicious hour is between 4:30 pm and 6 pm So I request that you come a little early.”
In the episode, Motwani also shares her feelings after she saw that Sohael was waiting for her at the mandap. She said, “I’m getting married to the love of my life”. She added that it was the nicest sensation and started crying after saying it. Before realizing they shared more than just friendship, Hansika and Sohael were very close friends. The latter has always been beside her because he is a friend of the actress’ brother.
On the professional front, Hansika began as a young artist with the TV program “Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand” and then made appearances on a number of programmes, including “Shaka Laka Boom Boom,” “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi,” “Karishma Kaa Karishma,” and “Son Pari.” She also appeared as a kid actress in the film “Koi… Mil Gaya,” which stars Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta.
With the Telugu film “Desamuduru,” directed by Puri Jagannadh, she made her acting debut. She was last seen in the Tamil film ‘Maha.’ Motwani’s forthcoming roles include those in the films Partner, Rowdy Baby, and My Name Is Shruthi.
