Elon Musk and singer Grimes welcomed a baby boy last month but what hogged most of the limelight was the name of their newborn. The couple had one of the most controversial names of 2020 X Æ A 12, steering confusion about how it is pronounced. When Grimes and Elon Musk revealed the name of their son, there were plenty of questions about the meaning, pronunciation, and whether the name would be valid in California. Also, the pronunciation of his name by Grimes and Elon Musk did not match with each other.
The couple also had to change the name of their baby boy from X Æ A 12 to X Æ A-Xii as the state does not allow numbers in a person’s name. After endless confusion about X Æ A-Xii’s name, Grimes decided to give her little one an easier nickname. In a recent interview with Bloomberg, the singer revealed that she has named her baby ‘Little X’ for short. The singer welcomed her son with Elon Musk on May 4 and ever since then the couple has been teasing fans with adorable pictures and videos of X Æ A-Xii on social media.
A few days after announcing the name of the baby boy, Grimes took to her Twitter handle to say that it is a well-thought name. She tweeted that X represents the unknown variable, the Æ is her elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial Intelligence) and A-12 is the precursor to SR-17, which is the couple’s favorite aircraft. Grimes also revealed how his name is pronounced. She wrote, “It’s just X, like the letter X then A.I. like how you say the letter A then I.”
Well, after knowing the little tot’s nickname we are not going to call him by his name as the pronunciation of the same is not yet clear, so ‘Little X’ will do the work.
