Gujarati film Chello Show has been selected as India’s entry for the 2023 Oscars in the Best International Feature Film category. Chhello Show, or the Last Film Show as it is known in English, is presented by Sidharth Roy Kapur under his Roy Kapur Films banner. Pan Nalin co-produced the film under her own company, Monsoon Films, along with Jugaad Motion Pictures.

Others in the category of “Chhello Show” 14 other films, including “Argentina, 1985” (Argentina), “Decision to Leave”, “All Quiet on the Western Front”, ” Close”, and “The Blue Caftan”.

All That Breathes by Shaunak Sen is an internationally co-produced Hindi language title and competes for first place for the Hindi-produced title, vying for a top-five spot in the Best Documentary category. The documentary follows two brothers, Mohammad Saud and Nadeem Shehzad, who have dedicated their lives to rescuing and treating injured birds, particularly black kites.
