20 years of Veer-Zara: The iconic film featuring brilliant stars Shahrukh Khan and Preity Zinta, ‘Veer Zara’ has undoubtedly left an indelible mark in the history. The film marks its 20 year-anniversary today, on Novemeber 12 2024. Fans are overjoyed to see the global re-release of the film marking the success of the actors in their performance. As the film completes its 20 years of succesful existence in the viewers’ hearts, actress Divya Dutta opened up on the good-old days of Veer Zara. She also remarked that it deserves no sequel and should be solely be a release on its own.

‘Veer-Zara Deserves No Sequel’ : Divya Dutta
On November 7th, the iconic film got an international re-release covering around 7 different regions of the world. Celebrating the happiness about the same, Divya Dutta who played a significant character of Shabbo said that she was cast for the character in the most hideous way, despite being an 8 year old star in the industry back then. Divya reflected on how she did not want to perform the role of Shabbo initially, but was later flooded with enormous roles and projects.
Even though the OG film received much love from the audience, Divya said that Veer Zara does not deserve to have a sequel. She adds that she is not sure of how the makers feel on having a sequel to the film, but she personally feels the movie should just be a standalone. As per a report by Hindustan Times, Divya Dutta said, “I think Veer Zaara should just be Veer Zaara. I would love to remember Veer Zaara, as just that, directed by Yash Chopra and written by Aditya Chopra”
Veer-Zara To Feature Deleted ICONIC Song Over Global Re-release
Another exciting aspect on 20 years of Veer-Zara is the historical movie’s international release also featured the deleted song, Ye Hum Aagaye Hai Kahaan for the first-time ever on the screens. The song had no presence earlier, which originally released on November 12, 2024. Viewers are absolutely delighted as Veer Zara strongly reached out the Indian fanbase present in the foreign regions of the country for the first time ever after 20 long years. While the deleted song featured exclusively in the international re-release, the earnings raked higher beyond expectations. Veer Zara was widely seen on 600 screens that included Toronto, New York City, Oman, Qatar, Melbourne and other cities of the world.
