In a latest interaction with Lehren Retro, former actress and playback singer Vijayta Pandit opened up on her love life with Kumar Gaurav. While she revealed how Kumar Gaurav’s father Rajendra Kumar’s rage on their affection snatched from her the love of her life, she also drew attention about the on-screen love stories transforming into off-screen romances among several co-actors in the past. Vijayta Pandit told how often actors transformed from reel-life lovers to real-life lovers. Though, none of them prospered into a happy couple later on, but the bond was definitely there.
To name a few she recalled how Late actor Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia fell in love during the shoots of film Bobby. As she quotes, ‘Bobby picture hi aisi thi ki, aisi filmon me you have to get into it. You have to feel the role.” Further she also hihglighted how Sanjay Dutt and Tina Munim, (who are currently happy in their different marriages) came closer when Rocky was being filmed. Besides them, Vijayta called out the affair between Sunny Deol and Amrita Singh who were rumored to be dating after 1983 romance drama ‘Betaab’.
She agreed that Love Story was her first film and Kumar Gaurav was the first person who ever touched her. Maybe, this could be why she fell for him so hard. However, she could never get along with him as he got engaged to Reema Kapoor as pressurised by his father Rajendra Kumar.
