On Friday 31 July, Zayn Malik,27, returned to Instagram for the first time after almost two months. He posted a cryptic selfie where the singer seemed to be teary-eyed without any description or caption as to why he first shared this pic.
His millions of fans were glad to see him back on social media and filled his comment section with how great he looked but it was odd timing for him to do so because he said absolutely nothing, publicly, about the 10th anniversary of One Direction which took place on Thursday, July 23.
Zayn, who left 1D in 2015, was the band’s only one not to say a thing about their big day. All the other members naming Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne poured out their hearts in their own special ways on social media. Harry, for example, shared a picture with a very emotional caption of all the boys hugging on stage.
Liam did something a bit more personal by posting a photo of a text message that he sent to his father the day their community became a thing officially.
It was a bit sad, to say the least as 1D fans swarmed social media with their disappointment over Zayn not remembering an iconic occurrence like this. “Am I surprised that @zaynmalik hasn’t said anything? no. but am I still sad about it? yes very sad actually,” a user wrote. Over the years since, he and the other guys have all gained a lot of success over solo. Zayn is seeing some big stuff happening in his life right now.
He is expecting their first child together with girlfriend Gigi Hadid, 25! In an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon the supermodel officially announced the big news in April.
“Gigi and Zayn recently moved into their New York City apartment after spending several months on lockdown at the farm in Pennsylvania,” a source told a news portal about their big & recent change.
