Music composer Wajid Khan of Sajid-Wajid fame passed away yesterday in Mumbai at the age of 42. He was admitted to the hospital for some ailments related to the kidney. However, certain reports suggest that the musician-singer had contracted Coronavirus infection. If the hearsay is true then Wajid Khan had been on a ventilator for 4 days before he departed for heavenly abode. To look after Wajid, his mother stayed by his side as he suffered from throat and kidney infection.
Meanwhile, hours after Wajid’s demise his mother Razina has been tested positive for COVID-19. It is believed that his mother contracted the infection while she was at the hospital and Wajid furthermore contracted the infection through his mother.
A source revealed, “Razina had contracted coronavirus before Wajid was infected. Wajid, who was suffering from kidney and throat infection, tested positive for COVID-19 later.”
Speaking about the health update of Wajid’s mother, the source said, “Sajid-Wajid’s mother is better now and her condition has improved. She had been staying in Surana Sethia hospital to take care of her ailing son. However, she contracted COVID-19 after coming in contact with other coronavirus patients in the hospital.”

Wajid was laid to rest yesterday at a crematorium in Versova. Many of his family members and close friends couldn’t be there for his last rites pertaining to the rules amid the on-going pandemic.
Sajid Khan, Aditya Pancholi, and Salman Khan’s best friend Nadeem were among the few present during his last rites.
Other B-Town celebs took to their social media to pay tribute to the late music composer-singer. Salim Merchant was the one who shared the sad news of Wajid’s death via Twitter. Later Wajid’s close friend, Salman Khan too mourned on his death.
