Ever since the Telugu movie released, a new story is seen everyday. Vikramaditya Motwane shared a screenshot of theatre bookings window, with 36 shows of Pushpa 2 in a day. He penned down his opinion stating that Payal Kapadia’s success will mean nothing because of Pushpa 2’s heavy dominance over the theatres. “And yet, Payal’s incredible success will mean f**k all to us because we will throw her film out, not let it breathe or find an audience, and will have 36 shows a day of one film in a single multiplex. Congratulations. We deserve this,” his message read.

The director shared another snippet that talked about the film’s ongoing success, but also stressed on how the film is occupying more screen space in movie theatres than the usual. Alongwith the screenshot, Vikramaditya Motwane writes, “Not that we should start feeling sorry for our favorite multiple chains. the irony of them being strong-armed after they’ve done the exact same thing in the past multiple times to producers is just….If every big film started doing this, it would be disastrous”

Payal Kapadia recently released her film All We Imagine As Light, but has hardly received any recognition from the viewers nationwide. The possible reasons are the indirect clashes it faced with release of Pushpa 2. Payal has become the first-ever Indian director to be nominated for The Best Director at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards.  All We Imagine As Light features Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, Chhaya Kadam and Hridhu Haroon in prominent roles. The film has also bagged a nomination for the Best Motion Picture for a Non-English Language.

Meanwhile as we talk about Pushpa 2, it is earning huge over the various screen spaces. So far, the domestic box office collection has reached an impressive ₹645.95 crore net, with contributions from multiple languages.
