Right after the film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video dropped its trailer, it is only garnering praises from all corners. As the film releases on October 11, in a clash with Alia Bhatt’s upcoming emotional drama ‘Jigra’ is expected to hit the box office with some big earnings this time. But did you know this 97% family drama comedy, is a remake to a Hollywood film?

A Remake To Hollywood Film ‘Sex Tape’
Rajkumar Rao and Triptii Dimri starrer Vicky Vidya Ka woh wala video, is inspired from the 2014 romantic-comedy film ‘Sex Tape’. In the Bollywood drama, a middle-class couple decides to shoot a video of their first night, which later on goes missing creating a haywire situation in the family. The trailer has drawn similarities to the 2014 film where actor Cameron Diaz and Jason Segal lose out their self-recorded sex tapes that further leads to big embarrasment.
Both the film’s plot is almost similar to each other sparking questions that Raaj Shaandilyaa has taken inspiration from the Hollywood movie adding his own twists and spices in it. Although, there is no official confirmation if the film is a remake or not, nor other members have come up to acknowledge the same.
The upcoming Triptii Dimri film will see numerous famous faces like Mallika Sherawat, Shehnaaz Kaur Gill and Daler Mehendi in it. Vicky Vidya Ka woh wala video trailer teases a fun-filled adventure as they try to get their life back on track.
