The nationwide lockdown because of the coronavirus pandemic forced many filmmakers to release their films digitally as the theatres and cinema halls remain shut. Many much-awaited films of 2020 like Gulabo Sitabo, Laxmmi Bomb, Sadak 2, and many more have opted for an OTT route instead of waiting around for the theatres to re-open.

Earlier, it was speculated that Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan starrer Coolie No. 1 may release digitally but after many meetings, the producers of the film have finally decided to release it in theatres only.

Sara Ali Khan was last seen alongside Kartik Aaryan in Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal, for which she received a lot of criticism. On the other hand, Varun Dhawan’s last outing Street Dancer 3D also failed to impress the masses.

With both Sara and Varun’s last film not doing well at the Box Office, it will be interesting to see how they are going to make a comeback with Coolie No.1.

It will be for the first time that Sara Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan will be sharing the screen space and their fans surely can’t wait for the film to release to experience their on-screen chemistry.
