International singer Dua Lipa recently arrived to India for her magnificent concert show at Mumbai’s BKC. The concert fever turned higher after she performed the trending ‘Levitating X Woh Ladki’ banger at the show. Despite having endless popular songs, Dua Lipa chose to entertain the Indian audience by performing the viral Levitating X Woh Ladki banger. While the concert crowd went crazy on this ultimate performance by the international artist, a controversy sparked after singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya did not receive the credit for his song. His son Jay took to his social media to slam multiple media outlets, and the audience for not addressing the song ‘Woh Ladki’ as his father’s masterpiece.
Abhijeet Bhattacharya SLAMS Bollywood Heroes For Promoting Pan Masalas
In a recent interaction with Bollywood Hungama, singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya has taken a dig at the bollywood stars of the industry for promoting illicit products like tobacco and more. It is evidently seen that the B-town actors often take part in varied advertisements, promoting different brands. One promotion that has often received backlash is the ‘pan-masal ads’. Actors like Ajay Devgn, Shahrukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, and later on, Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh, and Mahesh Babu made headlines after they extended support to these ads. In an exclusive chat with Abhijeet after the Dua Lipa song controversy, the actor slammed these artists, indirectly for being “very-active” for selling gutkas and pan masalas. When the interviewer questioned if he agrees that an actor helps to uplift the beauty of a song, he responds saying that actors help in “selling Hyundai”, and “masalas” only. Abhijeet Bhattacharya adds, “Gutkha bechne mei ye log help karne hain…ye log kabhi bhi classic cheezein nahi bechte..”

Though Abhijeet did not directly name any particular star, but his stance directly hinted towards the superstars including SRK who have earlier worked in for certain pan masala ads.
Further, Abhijeet clarified that the song Woh Ladki, was not made beautiful because of any actor or a singer particularly, but it was completely made beautiful because of Anu Malik’s composition. In the interview, Abhijeet also questioned that why people did not come forward to credit the actor when the song was not even a hit. He said he was happy to see that the song sung by him had reached so many people, and was overwhelmed to see multiple calls and messages on his phone.
Dua Lipa’s song Levitating was made into a fan-edit a few years ago, by compiling Abhijeet Bhattacharya’s song Woh Ladki. The Levitating x Woh Ladki banger was made a fabulous hit, in just no-time. As Dua arrived to India for the first-time, she and her PR team made sure to delight fans by performing on this Bollywood banger. To everybody’s surprise, Dua Lipa began to dance on Woh Ladki, while she was in the middle of her song Levitating. She also replicated a few dance-steps of Shahrukh Khan, that graced the beauty of the concert night even more.
