Netflix’s recent release The Kissing Booth 2 has been the talk of the town for a while. While everyone is raving over the new addition to the franchise Taylor Zakhar Perez as Marco, a few others are concerned over how Joey King and Jacob Elordi managed to work together post their breakup.

For the unversed, the two main leads of the rom-com sparked dating rumours back in 2018 when the first instalment of the movie released on Netflix. Their fans were elated to their reel-life romance spill into real life. But alas after almost a year of dating, Joey and Jacob called it quits.

Recently, when Joey King was asked about how it was to work with her ex-flame, she confessed that it wasn’t easy. She faced a constant consciousness while on the sets. But both of them were looking up to the better things rather than the history they shared.

During her interview with Cosmopolitan, Joey said, “No one’s thinking to themselves: ‘That was easy’ because it wasn’t. I’m sure people will analyze every movement and every detail. And you know what? Let them. But at the end of the day, I was just thrilled to be Elle Evans again.”

Later Joey said that her character Elle needs Noah Flynn and she is ready to do anything to nail that thing no matter what it means for her own personal life.

Well, seems like there’s still a bit of tension between the ex-couple but it all boils down to the fact that they didn’t let it affect their on-screen chemistry because of the same.

Last year, Joey King was being liked to actor-producer Steven Piet but neither of them reacted to the rumours. On the other hand, Jacob Elordi sparked dating rumours with actress Zendaya when they got spotted hand-in-hand.
