When asked about his reaction and feeling after watching his cover of Lucky Ali’s O Sanam going viral on Instagram, Zayn said, “Honestly speaking, when I recorded that song, it was not planned at all. I just went to Rrahul Bhai’s room and he was playing something in guitar. So then I said, ‘Chalo bhai ek instagram story banate hai’. He said, ‘Aaja’. Then Rrahul bhai said, ‘Kya gaana hai’. I said, ‘Koi bhi song gaa lete hai uthaa ke’. The he started playing O Sanam. Then I told, ‘Record karte hai’. Then we recorded it”.
Elucidating on same, Zayn further also added, “We didn’t even do any practice before recording it. We just started singing the song. As I am into music since my childhood, but from past 1 to 2 years I have not done any riyaaz so I think that I don’t have that proper and effective voice. I thought of recording it as it came out good and then also thought about uploading it on Instagram. I told Rrahul bhai that I am uploading it, so he also saw it and then loved it so much where he reposted the video on his profile as well. I think it was not my best but kind of okay for me. I’d give myself 5 out of 10 and yes my fans and people already love me a lot on social media and in reality too. So they will always support me in anything which I do as they are really genuine and nice in nature which is a really good thing and benefit for my career growth as well”.
