Yash Patnaik Says 2021 Will Be Year Of Opportunities For Content

In a very recent interview, ace TV producer Yash Patnaik opens up about his experience of starting production of IMMJ 2 right from June 2020 after the first unlock down happened in Mumbai and what are his expectations from 2021.

During a recent interview, spilling about how the coming year 2021 is going to be for TV industry, ace and well known Indian TV serials producer Yash Patnaik says 2021 will be year of opportunities for content.

Known as the brains and minds behind hit TV shows like Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi (Sony TV, 2016), Ishq Mein Marjawan (Colors TV, 2017), IMMJ 2 (Colors TV, 2020) and so on, during a latest interview, exemplary Indian TV serials producer Yash Patnaik says 2021 will be year of opportunities for content.

When the shootings resumed in June 2020 during the first phase of unlock down, the producer couple Yash and Mamta Patnaik were ready with their new show Ishq Mein Marjawan 2 to go on air on Colors TV channel. The former shared that the well-being of his cast and crew was their first concern.

Opening up more about how the safety of their cast and crew was of utmost concern and paramount priority that time when the show was about to get launched on Colors TV, Yash Patnaik said, “When we reopened production on 25th June, safety was our top priority. Following strict SOP was like having a parallel medical facility on the sets. Though initially, it was tough for everyone, gradually it became a part of our lives”.

Further, Yash explaining about how its been entire 6 months of them resuming production of Ishq Mein Marjawan 2 where no one is complaining, also added this bit, “It’s been six months since we resumed production, and no one is complaining. Everyone is more cautious about the health and wellness of not just themselves, but others around as well. In these times writing and production design has also gone through a shift. Keeping the safety of the cast and crew is always there in mind while creating plots and layouts”.

When asked that what are his expectations from this upcoming year 2021, Yash told, “Consumption of content across formats and platforms has gone up manifold. More people are watching content than ever before. As a company, we have used this time to develop some exciting concepts for TV and OTTs. We have many exciting talents from Bollywood working with us on multiple projects”.

Lastly, Yash concluded the interview by telling, “2021 will be a year of opportunities for content and everyone connected to the content industry”.
