The viewers of ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’ love the character of Devyani, played by actress Mitaali Nag. She began her acting career in 2011 and rose to fame by playing the lead role in ‘Afsar Bitiya’. The actress got married in 2014 and became a mother of a baby boy in 2017.
But did you know that the 37-year-old actress once played actor Barun Sobti’s mother in ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3’?
Well, it happened in 2017, when Barun returned in the third season of his hit show as he played Advay Singh Raizada. In the same year, Mitaali had delivered a baby and was hoping to return to work. That’s when she was offered the role of Barun’s mother in the show.
Interestingly, Barun and Mitaali are almost the same age in real life.
Although Mitaali was playing the mother’s role, she was extremely thrilled to return to work. Back in those days, she expressed her happiness, as she said, “I was working till the eighth month of my pregnancy and now I am all set to return to the arc lights. I am looking forward to playing a mother on screen because now I can relate to the emotions for real.”
However, her character died when Barun’s character (Dev) was young. When he grew up, he disguised as Advay Singh Raizada and took revenge for his mother’s death.
Well, Mitaali is surely a versatile actor who always offers something new in every serial she does!
