Paatal Lok

With Jaideep Ahlawat in the lead role, the whole storyline is quite engaging and with a stellar casting.

While its nine episodes were hailed for their accurate portrayal of India’s caste, religion, fake news, and crime issues, the series also attracted a long list of complaints. Though the web series does not mention that it is inspired by true events, there is growing buzz that the plot for Paatal Lok could have been inspired by the reported ‘murder plot’ centered around controversial journalist Tarun Tejpal that rocked Delhi some two decades ago.

Made in Heaven

The Indian web series Hindi revolves around the lives, mistakes, and lies of two wedding planners and others supporting the story incredibly. With engaging episodes, Drama, high-society, rich people problems are shown with such artsy panache, ‘Made In Heaven’ is such a brilliant shift from seeing the generic rags-to-riches gangster low-life drama web series – refreshing and so much fun to watch. It is officially confirmed that Made in Heaven Season 2 will soon be released.

Special Ops

Neeraj Pandey presented this amazing web series in the lockdown. This starred excellent actors such as Kay Kay Menon, Karan Tacker, Vinay Pathak, Divya Dutta, Meher Vij among others who are loved by the audience. One of the first shows to air during Covid times follows the story of a chief analyst in RAW, Himmat Singh which is played by Kay Kay Menon, and his 19-year manhunt to nab a terror mastermind.

Panchayat

The Amazon Prime Video Indian web series stars Jeetendra Kumar in the lead role with Neena Gupta and the whole story is set up in a village area. A comedy-drama, it captures the journey of an engineering graduate Abhishek, who for lack of a better job option joins as secretary of a panchayat office in a remote village of Uttar Pradesh. This amazon prime special was definitely a winner, riding high on humor.

With season 3 already on cards, it’s unlikely to miss watching this one. The web series stars Kirti Kulhari, Sayani Gupta, Bani J, and Maanvi Gagroo, who’ve all performed the roles in an excellent manner. It revolves around the lives of four very different women each fighting their own individual battles and tackling life as it comes. Based in the southern tip of Mumbai, the city that never sleeps, these four friends get together every couple of days to binge talk. It’s the magic of pure, unadulterated, and yet sometimes flawed, friendship.
