“Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah” actor Jennifer Mistry, who plays the role of Roshan Kaur Sodhi recently accused the makers of the show of sexual harassment at the workplace. She made these shocking revelations during an interview with a leading daily. As the news went viral, the makers of the show, including Asit Modi denied the allegations and called it a cheap stunt.
While Jennifer Mistry has filed a case of sexual harassment against Asit Kumarr Modi, Sohail Ramani and Jatin Bajaj, the makers have made a counter case of defamation. The makers stated that she has made these “baseless” allegations because she was terminated from the show.
As Asit Modi and other makers of the show denied the allegations, Jennifer Mistry took to her Instagram account and warned them. It is the first time she has spoken about this matter on social media. She posted a video and said, “Chuppi ko meri kamzori mat samajhna, main chup thi kyunki saleeka hai mujhme. Khuda gawah hai ki sach kya hai. Yaad rakh, uske ghar mein koi farq nahi tujhme ya mujhme.” (Don’t take my silence for weakness, I was quiet because I am civilized. God knows what is the truth. Remember, we all are equal in front of him.”
Jennifer wrote in the caption, “Truth will come out..Justice will prevail”
Jennifer Mistry has been working on the show since 2008. She had earlier left the show in 2013 but then rejoined in 2016. She has also worked in Bollywood films like “Halla Bol”, “Krazzy 4” and “Airlift”.
