Swati Maliwal Got R*pe Threats After Writing Letter Against Sajid Khan

DCW Swati Maliwal got rape threats after she wrote a letter against Sajid Khan asking for his removal from Bigg Boss 16 house.

Ever since Sajid Khan entered the Bigg Boss 16 house, many celebrities from the industry have shared their discontentment on his entry into the show. Addressing the same chief of the Delhi Commission of Women, Swati Maliwal recently sent a letter to Anurag Thakur stating that Sajid should be ousted from the show. While now she has claimed that she got “rape” threats after she wrote a letter against Sajid.

Apparently, Sajid Khan has been facing extreme backlash from many celebs in the industry after he entered the Bigg Boss 16 house. Recently the chief of DCW, Swati Maliwal wrote a letter to Anurag Thakur asking that the filmmaker should be taken out of the show. she also mentioned some allegations of sexual misconduct against the filmmaker in her letter.

While on Wednesday, Swati claimed that she has been receiving continuous r*ape threats after she wrote the letter against Sajid Khan, in a tweet she wrote, “Ever since I wrote a letter to the I&B minister to get Sajid Khan out of Bigg Boss, I have been receiving rape threats on Instagram. Obviously, they want to stop our work.”

In a letter written to the deputy commissioner of police (cyber crime) Prashant Gautam on Wednesday, she stated, “Ever since the Commission acted in the matter on 10.10.2022, threats are being received online on the Instagram account of the undersigned (Maliwal). In both threats, the men have stated that Sajid Khan will rape the undersigned”

In the letter sent to Anurag Thakur, Swati wrote, “In 2018, during the #MeToo movement, over 10 actresses, models and journalists spoke out against the alleged sexual offences committed by Sajid Khan. Subsequently, he was suspended from the Indian Film and Television Directors Association from directing movies for a year. However, recently, in an apparent attempt to ‘whitewash’ his image, he has been made ‘housemate’ in the popular TV show ‘Bigg Boss’,” 

She added, “In view of the commission, giving an opportunity for a ‘re-launch’ to an alleged sexual predator like Sajid Khan is unwarranted and sends a wrong message to society as well as to the women who risked their careers to expose him,”

Ever since Sajid Khan entered the Bigg Boss 16 house, many celebrities from the industry have shared their discontentment on the matter, including Sona Mohapatra, Devoleena Bhattacherjee, Mandanna Karimi, and many more. For the unversed, Sajid Khan was earlier accused by many women for sexual misconduct, the news came to rise during the #MeToo movement, soon after which Sajid was served with a ban of 1 year by FWICE.
