Sidharth Shukla Thinks Indian Companies Should Develop Their Own App

While the government bans a number of Chinese apps including the most popular video-sharing app TikTok, Bigg Boss 13 winner Sidharth Shukla thinks it’s a great time for Indian companies to come to with their own apps. The decision to take down 59 Chinese apps come after India China face off in the Galwan Valley. Many celebrities came out and lauded governments decision, while some think it won’t make much difference. On the other hand, Sidharth who never used TikTok says, “I have never been on TikTok and neither do I like watching TikTok videos. I am completely with the government on their decision to ban Chinese apps. Here’s a chance for Indian companies to develop their own app and give the people their desired entertainment, which will help them create a good market in their own country.” Recently even Anand Mahindra had a similar idea after China’s Global Times editor tried heckling India for not having our own apps. Indians have rushed to download social app Chingari, a desi alternative to Chinese TikTok, which is witnessing nearly 1 lakh downloads and over 2 million views per hour since the government banned 59 Chinese apps, last night.
