Madalsa Sharma, a popular actress known for her roles in Telugu, Kannada and Tamil films, became a household name after starring in the high-rated Hindi TV show Anupamaa. After ruling the show for four years, Madalsa has recently been in the spotlight for quitting Anupamaa. Now, in a series of interviews, she is opening up about the behind-the-scenes drama and why she decided to leave.
Why Are Actors Quitting Anupamaa?
Madalsa shared her thoughts on why several actors might be exiting Anupamaa. She made a surprising statement that the show is taking a 15-year leap and this might be the reason some actors are deciding to quit. “Maybe they’re leaving because of the leap. I wonder too,” she said. Also, rumours suggest that actors like Aurra Bhatnagar, Nishi Saxena and Alpana Buch could leave the show after this big change.
Is There a Rift Among the Cast?
Madalsa addressed rumours of a rift between the Anupamaa cast members. When asked if there’s tension between the actors, she said, “Honestly, I’m a no-nonsense girl. ‘Main jabbi jaha dekti hu an-ban ho rahi hai, toh main chup-chap nikal jati hu, apne makeup room mein jaake beht jaati hu,’” explaining that she avoids conflicts and stays out of any drama.
Madalsa also mentioned that disagreements are common, not just in Anupamaa but in every workplace. “Sometimes your tuning with others is good, sometimes it isn’t. Just like how we argue with friends, we’re also friends here, just working together,” she explained. She clarified that small disagreements are normal and nothing out of the ordinary for a TV show cast.
Rupali Ganguly’s ‘Two-Faced’ Comment
The most shocking moment of the interview came when Madalsa was asked about her co-star Rupali Ganguly, during the rapid fire round. Without hesitating, Madalsa quickly responded with a wink and said, “Two-faced”, leaving fans surprised. She did, however, compliment other co-stars, calling Sudhanshu Pandey “Generous”, Gaurav Khanna “Cartoon” and Alpana Buch “Sweet”.
Madalsa’s comments have sparked curiosity among fans. While she downplayed the conflicts on set, her statement about Rupali Ganguly being “two-faced” has added a new layer to the ongoing behind-the-scenes drama.
