Shivam Gupta Feels Grateful To Siddharth Sengupta For Believing In His Casting Of ‘Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhein’ 

Shivam Gupta is one of the youngest casting directors who started his journey with films like “Daddy”, “Trapped” and went on to be associate casting director with films like “Qarib Qarib Single”, “Raid”, “Batti Gul Meter Chalu” and “Sacred Games Season-2” amongst others. He has done casting for shows and films like “Chacha Vidhayak Hai Humare”, “Kanpuriye”, “Little Things”, “Choked”, “Pinni”, Pratik Gandhi’s “Shimmy”.

Now his recently released pulp thriller web series “Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhein” on Netflix starring Shweta Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, and Anchal Singh is garnering accolades from all over.

Gupta is very grateful to director Siddharth Sengupta for believing in his casting. He says, “I’m so thankful and grateful to Siddharth sir who gave me this show in 2019. He showed soo much trust and belief in my capabilities. We had a lot of discussions related to the project. And at the end, he was happy with the cast. So I’m really very thankful to Siddharth sir, Vishal Bajaj, and Edstorm team. Also, we are looking forward to starting the casting of season 2.”

Sharing about the responses the show is garnering Shivam tells, “Responses are very overwhelming and I’m so grateful for the compliment I’m getting for the casting and for the performance the actors have done. I was getting pleasant messages from the people all over the world who know me.”

He further adds, “For us, it’s surprising to get this kind of success because it’s tough in ott because of soo many shows and competition. You never know what might appeal to the audience and what might not. But touchwood hopefully nothing like that happened to our show. We are very grateful to our audience and everyone that they are liking this show and are eagerly waiting and asking for the next season because they are soo hooked to the 1st season.”
