Shark Tank Season 2 Update- Budding Entrepreneurs Amaze The Sharks!

Shank Tank season 2 gives another chance to young entrepreneurs to showcase their pitches and make a name in the industry

With the success of season 1 Shark tank India, the show is back with season 2, and yesterday Day 1 brought lots of opportunities for budding businessmen and businesswomen to make get funding from top company founders like Lenskart, boAt, Sugar, Emcure, and Shaadi.com. The panel of judges is the same as the first Piyush Bansal, Anupam Mittal, Aman Gupta, Vineeta Singh, Namrita Thapar, and a new shark and founder of Cardekho.com Amit Jain.

The season opens with Namrita and Vineeta going down memory lane to Darbhanga to meet the Nanad- Bhabhi duo who came in season 1 as the pickle-making owner but could not impress the sharks but that didn’t stop them to enhance their business. After featuring in Shark Tank they have an enormous demand and supply for their pickles and Namrita and Vineeta offered them to invest in their blooming business.

As season 2 starts the first pitchers come up with their business idea for fresh flowers for pooja. Yashoda and Rhea, the women entrepreneurs from Banglore pitch their idea of pooja flowers in the Indian market as a part of religious beliefs. They have used technology also their USP is that flower shelf life is extended to 15 days.

They offered 80 lakhs for 1% equity and Peyush Bansal and Aman Gupta locked their deal in 1 crore with 2% equity. 

Later another young business idea entered the Shank Tank platform straight from Darjeeling. Sparsh Agarwal and Ishaan Kanoria with their brand Darjeeling tea brand offered Rs 30 lakh for 5% equity with a valuation of Rs 3 crore. The panel was impressed by Sparsh’s storytelling and the tea story made the sharks need to visit the beautiful city. The deal was locked by Anupam, Peyush, and Vineeta’s offer for 15% equity with a 30 lakhs investment. Namrita humored Anupam with Hume Rishta Manzoor hai as he walked with tea stray like a marriage proposal set up in an Indian household.

Another gentleman from Ludhiana and Delhi came to challenge Vineeta’s Sugar brand which was a cosmetics brand. Unfortunately, they could not raise their pitch that would attract the sharks, especially Anupam who was a little taken aback by their swift decision but given best wishes they left Shank Tank.
