We have recently seen many series either getting a reboot or getting a sequel and one such example is Sanjivani. The 2000 series was rebooted with the same and starred Namit Khanna and Surbhi Chandna as the lead stars. The show also saw a few actors from the original as Mohnish Bahl and Gurdeep Kohli Punj. Sanjivani is a medical drama television series that aired on 12 August 2019 on Star Plus.
But it is now speculated that the show will soon go off air as the TRP numbers are not that great. A source reveals, “No official intimation has been received but if the TRP for the show continues to remain stagnant for the next two weeks, the channel might pull the plug off the show.” But the show’s producer Siddharth Malhotra denied that the show would end in December. He in an interview stated, “We haven’t even been given the first notice formally.” No official intimation but our contract signed is for six months since day one.”
But if the channel decides on calling it quits on the show, the last episode would air on Friday 10th January 2020. But whether the show will meet its fate before the last date is up for debates. The show could also be given an extension if he ratings pick up in the next few days. But even though the show is low on ratings, it has proven to do well in international markets, including the UK.
The show tells the story of Dr. Ishani Arora essayed by Surbhi Chandna and Dr. Siddhant “Sid” Mathur played by Namit Khanna and the ups and downs of their life and career at Sanjivani Hospital while they struggle to deal with their attraction towards each other.
