Raju Srivastava Slams Mirzapur 2 For Vulgarity And Violence

UP Film Vikas Parishad chairman and comedian Raju Srivastava, has raised objection against the content shown in the super hit web series Mirzapur 2. Raju’s move comes after Apna Dal MP Anupriya Patel raised concern for tarnishing the image of the city.

The comedian said that the web series is full of vulgarity and violence.

Raju Srivastava has urged Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to take action immediate action against Mirzapur 2 and advised the officials to make sure that the subjects shown on the OTT platform to be screened by the Censor Board.

Previously, Anupriya Patel had objected that Mirzapur 2 has damaged the name of her constituency Mirzapur. She further claimed that the show has depicted the region in a poor light.

Sharing her thoughts on twitter, Anupriya wrote, “Mirzapur under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ji, is a developing city. It is the centre of harmony. Through web series called Mirzapur, it is being maligned as a violent region. Ethnic disharmony is also being spread through this web series.”

She further added, “As MP of Mirzapur district, I demand that it should be investigated and action be taken against it.”

Mirzapur 2 is currently streaming on digital platform and is directed by Gurmeet Singh and Mihir Desai. Pankaj Tripathi, Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi and Ali Fazal play pivotel roles in the web series.
