Popular comedian Raju Srivastava passed away on September 21 at the age of 58, and his family organised a prayer meeting in his honour.

Prayer Meeting of Late Comedian Raju Srivastava Live: Raju Srivastava’s family organised a prayer meeting to honour the Late Comedian at the Iskcon Temple in Juhu. Raju Srivastav passed away on September 21 at the age of 58. He had been on life support for over 40 days after he was admitted to the All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi on August 10 due to a heart attack. The late comedian was cremated on Thursday, September 22, in Delhi.

Raju Srivastav was a well-known name in Bollywood since the 1980s. He had worked in several hit Bollywood films, including, Baazigar, Bombay to Goa, Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya and more. The late comedian rise to fame after participating in the first season of the reality stand-up comedy show ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2005.

Moreover, Srivastav was also a well-known politician. The comedian and actor made his official entry into politics in 2014 from the Samajwadi Party, where he was even named the Lok Sabha candidate from Kanpur. However, he later joined the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP).

Several national leaders and Bollywood celebrities including, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda, Sonu Sood, Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar Mika Singh and more mourned the late comedian’s demise and expressed their condolences to Raju Srivastav’s family,
