I think for me, one of the most important relationships in my life is with my friends. I have the fondest memories with my friends. Oh my god! There are millions of memories every day with the people who matter the most, who are my friends. So, I don’t think there is one fond memory. I think I could go on and on and write a novel about all the fond memories that I have with my friends. Friendship to me is a relationship that nourishes me, enriches me, empowers me to be who I am, and makes the best possible version of myself. So with my friends, I can unapologetically, unabashedly be myself. Let me be honest, I mean over the years I don’t really use the language of best-friend anymore because I think I have so many friends. And I have a different relationship with each and every one. It’s like everyone holds a different key to the doors of my heart. Like one of the keys which will open laughter, the other one will open, empowerment, and the other one will sort of open my sins. So, each and every friend of mine sort of have a different key to my heart. So yeah, that’s what friendship to me is all about.

So there are many fond memories of this day actually. Of course, it goes back to college. I think for me this has been the most special day, more than Valentine’s Day because there is no baggage on this day. Kyunki dosti dosti hai yaar! There’s no relation like friendship. And what friendship means to me is, everything actually. Because friendship is the true base of any relationship in your life, whether it is with your spouse, mother, father, brother sister, doctor, co-actor, your watchman, anybody, if the base is of friendship then that’s a pretty strong base. Every project gives me new friends and that’s something I love about my job. I get to meet some amazing people, exchange my life stories and become friends with them. My upcoming web series Cartel has been one such experience where I have made true friends. For me, friendship is to like, accept, and naturally feel a bond with someone and want to keep in touch with them irrespective of anything else. I don’t have a best friend from the industry but definitely many good friends who I know really well and can talk to for hours and simply be myself.
