Whilst there were speculative and half-baked news media reports floating around in media mills about Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia who essays role of Meher in the hit show Choti Sarrdaarni making her exit from the serial but in reality there was no truth to it since it was all misleading and a fake news since she is very much a part of the serial but had went on a break owing to her health condition and now that she has recovered fully well, she is all geared up and set to resume her shooting with entire team but virtually.

As per the reports in a leading indian entertainment publication, the actress will be resuming shooting for the show soon but will be filming from home and is currently in Delhi, from where she is going to be shooting for her parts.

Also, this is true that the makers are really hoping to see her back on sets soon and the publication source informed, “Nimrit had to take a break from Choti Sarrdaarni because of her health woes. She is doing better now and is gearing up to return to the show. She is currently in Delhi and will shoot her scenes from home for now. She will report to the set once she has fully recovered and is back in Mumbai”, and now in her absence, makers of the show roped in Kratika Sengar in a special role for taking the story of the serial ahead.

Confirming that she is not at all replacing Nimrit in an earlier interview with a leading entertainment tabloid, Kratika had said, “I am not replacing Nimrit, but playing a new character. I wouldn’t have taken up the offer had they approached me to replace the original protagonist. She has played the character so beautifully that I wouldn’t want to step into her shoes”.

This show also ended Kratika’s 3 years long hiatus from small screens and in same earlier interview explaining this point, she had said, “I wanted to take a break after the show wrapped up. I couldn’t take up anything in 2019 due to a personal crisis. I needed to be with my family. And by the time things became fine, the lockdown was implemented”.
