Neha Dhupia Breaks Her Silence On Being Trolled In Roadies

Neha Dhupia has finally opened up on being trolled in Roadies and how it affected her. Read below to know what she has to say.

Earlier this year actress Neha Dhupia got bashed by netizens for defending a girl cheating in a relationship and lecturing a male contestant on MTV’s famous show Roadies for slapping a girl who allegedly cheated on him with five boys. Post the incident Neha released a statement, saying that she has been misinterpreted.

In a recent interaction, the 39-year old actress recalled that incident and said, “Nobody likes to be trolled and there is no shying away from the fact that for no fault of yours, you wake up to a hurl of insults and then they not only take you down, but they want to take personal jabs at you on your family when you’re not doing that.”

She further added, “What I was doing was just taking a stand and everything that I had to say I have put out in my statements so I don’t think that I have anything else to say. Will I always stand against domestic violence? Yes, I will.”

Later when quizzed about being affected by the trolls, Neha said that yes sometimes one does get affected and sometimes one becomes thick-skinned that it doesn’t even matter.

Neha Dhupia’s statement during the incident invited lots of hatred and trolls her way. She was called by names and was tagged as a pseudo-feminist. Many people bashed her for supporting a girl who cheated in a relationship as they felt it was morally and ethically incorrect to sabotage someone’s trust.

On the work front, Neha Dhupia is back as the gang leader on the 17th season of the MTV Roadies alongside Ranvijay Singh, Nikhil Chinapa, Raftaar, and Prince Narula.
