As part of the on-going battle against drug nuisance in Karnataka, the City Crime Branch Police conducted a raid at Mujse Shaadi Karoge contestant and actor Sanjjana Galrani’s residence in her Indira Nagar residence. Reportedly, Sanjjana Galrani was arrested after Bangalore police widen its investigation. Galrani was arrested at the end of a City Crime Branch raid at her residence. She was later taken to the CCB office for questioning.
This is the second high-profile raid of a Kannada actor, after Ragini Dwivedi, who is already in police custody for her suspected part in drug trafficking in the high-end parties organized in Bengaluru.
In a statement released by the Joint Police Commissioner (Crime) Sandeep Patil, he said, “After obtaining a warrant from a court, a search is being conducted at Sanjjana Galrani’s house for her alleged role in a drug case.”

Post-Manikarnika actor Kangana Ranaut’s revelations about the alleged nexus between drug mafia and a section of Bollywood giants, well-known Kannada filmmaker Indrajit Lankesh, claimed that the drug mafia had gained its root in Sandalwood as well.
As outcome of his exposures, the Police have investigated him and he has stated to have given 15-20 prominent names of Sandalwood actors, musicians and technicians who are allegedly indulging in drugs and who frequent high-end parties organized in the city.
According to the Bengaluru Police, the CCB arrested Niyaz Ahamed, on Monday in a drug related case involving Kannada Actress Ragini Dwivedi.
The police sources had disclosed that the raid at Sanjjana’s house was part of this operation and later Sanjjana Galrani was arrested in Bangalore for further investigations.
