This pride month is marked globally in order to celebrate all kinds of people with their different orientations and individuality and we all also know that how actress Monica Dogra recently essayed a queer character named Peeplika Khan in noted iconic producer Ekta Kapoor’s hit webseries The Married Woman and this time around besides from critics and fans raving about the well written storyline and excellent execution, it was Peeplika with whom the audiences, netizens and fans also fell in love with and in her recent interview, Monica Dogra speaks about freedom of love in pride month.

The love and chemistry shown between both Astha and Peeplika was loved so much by fans and viewers that the makers decided and officially announced the second season of The Married Woman to beautifully kick start this year 2021’s pride month and talking about how love is boundless of sexual orientation and other things, Monica Dogra speaks about freedom of love in pride month.

Whilst opening up on the Pride month, Monica said, “Firstly, I want to raise a toast to the entire LGBTQ community. For me, this community possesses pure magic, vibrancy, and swagger. I want to say I am deeply grateful for the support I’ve received for playing a Queer character on screen.  Being included and celebrated by the queer community feels like an honor and a privilege. I thank my lucky stars for being a part of such a show that exemplifies love is love. All I want to say is that no matter what your sexual orientation is, take Pride in yourself”.

Speaking about the much awaited second season of The Married Woman webseries which would also be streaming on Alt Balaji, TV star Ridhi Dogra and actress / singer Monica Dogra who essayed the iconic characters of Astha and Peeplika in the show, are once again going to be seen returning soon in order to reprise their characters in second season as well.

The Married Woman series is inspired and based on Manju Kapur’s novel, A Married Woman which primarily is a story set in the era of 90’s that mainly revolves around two female characters which are Astha and Peeplika. While Astha is a dutiful housewife and a mother, Peeplika is an unconventional artist.

It is a story of how Astha is seen trying to figure out herself wherein during this journey, she meets Peeplika. However, the series ended on a cliffhanger when Astha gets to know about Peeplika’s past, making her doubtful of her relationship.
