Karan Johar Roped In To Host Bigg Boss OTT, Says, “It’s My Mother’s Dream Come True”

Keeping every speculations aside, it has been confirmed that master filmmaker Karan Johar has been roped in to host Bigg Boss OTT.

Ever since it was announced that Bigg Boss will be streaming on Voot app for its first 6 weeks, there were lot of rumors about the host of the show. Names like Sidharth Shukla, Farah Khan, Rohit Shetty were making rounds on the internet, now keeping every speculations aside, it has been confirmed that master filmmaker Karan Johar has been roped in to host Bigg Boss OTT.

Reportedly, makers were keen on making the digital version of the reality show spicier and who could have been better than Karan, who loves gossip.

Confirming the good news, Karan said, “My mom and I are huge Bigg Boss fans and wouldn’t miss it for a day. As a viewer, it keeps me hugely entertained with dollops of drama. For decades now, I have always enjoyed hosting shows and now with Bigg Boss OTT… it will surely be Over the Top. It’s my mother’s dream come true.”

He added, “I hope I can live up to the audience’s and my friends’ expectations, make Weekend Ka Vaar with the contestants an enjoyable affair in my own style and up the ante on the entertainment quotient.”

Talking about the same, a source close to the production shared, “Karan enjoys the format of Bigg Boss and given the web version will have a younger audience, he was excited to come on board. Also, unlike the TV show, this is a shorter commitment, making it more feasible for him, as he is also set to start filming for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.”

Recently, Salman Khan had treated his fans with the first promo of Bigg Boss OTT. The actor finds it great that the new season will have a digital release, six weeks ahead of its grand television premier.

Salman shared, “It’s great that this season of Bigg Boss will have a digital first with Bigg Boss OTT, six weeks ahead of television.
